Every HorrorTee is screen printed in the UK on black heavyweight cotton. The print is laid down thick and distressed, so it already has that worn-in, vintage feel.
Treat it like a proper band tee and it will age well. Beat it up and it will still look the part — just know the print will keep changing as you wear it.
How to wash it
- Wash inside out. This keeps the print from rubbing against the drum, other clothes, and zips.
- Cool wash only. 30°C max. Hot water softens the ink and makes it crack faster.
- Do not tumble dry. The heat and tumble action will crack and shrink the print. Air dry flat or on a hanger instead.
- Do not iron the print. If you need to press the shirt, turn it inside out and iron around the design, never on top of it.
- Avoid bleach and harsh detergents.They fade the cotton and can lift the ink.
What fading and cracking means here
The distressed screen-printed ink sits on top of the fabric. Over time the raised layer develops small cracks and the edges soften — that is part of the look, not a defect.
Faster cracking usually means heat: hot washes, tumble drying, or leaving the tee on a hot radiator. Following the steps above keeps the print crisp for longer while still letting it age naturally.
